An Independent Public School

Welcome to Mirrabooka Primary School

An Independent Public School

Mirrabooka Primary School, established in 1963 has a rich history of academic and non-academic achievements which have been supported by the ongoing commitment and enthusiasm of students, staff, parents and the wider community. The school forms part of the Mirrabooka Education Precinct and is located adjacent to Mirrabooka Senior High School and Education Support Centre, providing students with a seamless K-12 education.  Three school sites – one learning environment.

At Mirrabooka, we believe that every child has the right to the best possible education, and the educational process is best served when the school, the child, the teacher and the parent/carer work together in a positive way to support learning. Mirrabooka Primary reflects the richness and diversity of the local community with a diverse cultural blend of students. With an onsite Intensive English Centre, we cater for our local and wider school community’s needs. Our school community currently represents over 50 nationalities and provides our students with a very practical understanding of the global community and is a highly valued feature of our school.

Our team of dedicated and experienced staff strive to succeed by maximising learning success for all students by providing a quality program which is enhanced by specialist programs, including ICT (Information Communication Technologies), Physical Education, Music, The Arts, Languages and Science.  Students are provided with opportunities to develop their intellectual, physical, social, cultural and emotional skills.

A supportive Mirrabooka Precinct Board and Parents and Citizens' Association supports the running of the school. The P&C body works with the school to provide a wide range of educational resources for students and also to foster the sense of community which exists at the school. We have developed long running partnerships with volunteers and associated organisations that support and compliment the programs running in the school.

I look forward to working closely with our existing students and families and would like to extend an open invitation to any new families in the area to visit our school. We know that all of our students have a positive and rewarding experience at Mirrabooka Primary School, and trust that new families will experience the same.
